Dog in the Playground

Writing, Direction and Animation

2 years ago I decided I wanted to make a short film.

This would be my first attempt making any kind of character animation and I knew I'd have a lot to learn but I calculated I could pull it off in 6 months. Cut to a year and a half years later and I'm finally exporting the 26th and "final" draft of my film.

Unbeknownst to me, making this film would require more devotion, patience and internalization than anything I've created in the past. I could have never accounted for the emotional toll telling a story could have. I became so attached everyone around me (correctly) joked I would never be able to call it finished

Throughout the process I had incredible insight and critique from friends and mentors. I was lucky enough to collaborate with a composer and sound designer that invested huge amounts of creative energy and used their own resources to find an orchestra, voice actors and recording engineer's. I'm eternally grateful for their belief in the project.

Hope you enjoy.

Few times in life an event can strike at the core of a person's honest nature resulting in such traits as bravery and rebellion. The event can make clear any amount of wickedness or injustice. Such is the case when a dog stumbled onto the playground.
